3 Months 9 Days 13 Hours 27 Minutes 30 Seconds

I have finally decided on having this beauty as my bouquet. I'll either have to a) pay $135 for a pre-preserved already-handmade one to be shipped to me OR b) try a florist, preserve it myself OR c) purchase, create and preserve it all myself:

Mine and Matt's five year anniversary was just a few days ago, and his present almost arrived on time, but it finally came! It's absolutely perfect and I couldn't be happier. Something memorable to signify the end before the beginning.

The inscription reads "You'll Always Be My Hero"

The invitations were ordered and paid for, printed and shipped, delivered and sent out. Now to await the RSVPs. I'm becoming very anxious and impatient as I wait, haha.

Food
We will be serving up some penne pasta with your choice of three different sauces served with baked bread and of course shredded Parmesan cheese to top it all off, buffet style. So I hope you like pasta!
Feel free to bring food, as well.

Photos
I've drummed up a 'shot list' of those that I request have a picture taken by the photographer (majority lies within the family). If you would like to be included in this shot list, just let me know! It's all about tokens of memories (:
I've tallied my conjectures as to who will and will not attend and have ascertained a comprehensive number of 72.

FYI
*Please respond by mailing your RSVP back BEFORE April 3rd.
*If you have anything specific to request or any advice, please write it on the RSVP card (i.e. I'm allergic to pasta., I can help clean afterwards., I would like to help decorate., I know a wonderful florist in Etown., etc).
*The date of the wedding is May 3rd.
*The ceremony begins at 3pm, Saturday, May 3rd.
*You may begin arriving to the ceremony as early as 2pm.
(We would appreciate it if you arrived no earlier in order to give us time to decorate and such)
*The reception is held at the same location as the ceremony, travel between the two is unnecessary.
*There will be municipal parking directly on location; however, depending on your arrival time and guest numbers, you may have to park in a different municipal lot within walking distance.
*We expect dinner to be ready at 6pm.
*Toasts should begin by 7pm.
*Cutting the cake will be at 8pm to catch the last bit of sunlight before sunset at 8:36pm.
*We expect the reception to close out by 9pm, at the latest.

Any questions or concerns?
Feel free to message either of us on Facebook, text us, or even call us.

So close!

After working all of that dreadful overtime at work (yay to this being the first weekend in nearly two months that I haven't had mandatory overtime - woohoo!!) , I'm finally in the buying stage of planning this darn wedding, and it isn't so bad. We have very few 'major' purchases left, leaving the rest to be small purchases here and there. Gah! I'm so excited.
My invitations and RSVPs are tracked to already be in Louisville AND our wedding bands are waiting to be picked up from Zales once we wake up (yes, that means we haven't gone to bed yet since coming home from work).
Everything is finally coming together and it makes me so ecstatic. I can't wait to begin receiving the RSVPs.
RSVP return date is set to be before April 3rd!

If I don't receive an RSVP card from you at least 2 weeks after April 3rd, you won't be on the guest list ):
However, feel free to text or message us! And if you can't make it, we understand. It's totally fine, no need for explanation.

One thing I'm definitely saving up for is this bad boy:

I want it to be paired with this hairstyle:

Oooo and Miss Tori is going to look dashing with this:

I scheduled the appointments today with the best hairstylist, ever. The only one to ever tame my mane. Rawr.
Since Tori is busy with school and myself with work, I won't be having a bachelorette party.. So I ordered some glitter, took Tori shoe shopping (where she bought $89 shoes for $8 - thanks to my employee discounttttt), and I glitter-fied the bottoms of our heels for the wedding (:
Hers turned out WAY better:

I'll probably be keeping this blog more and more updated.

Suggestions

I am currently taking song requests, food suggestions, and day-of volunteers :D
My invitations and RSVPs are printing and shall be sent out as soon as I can.
I'm tallying up all of my purchases and figuring out final touches, so any suggestions for any aspect of the wedding could be helpful.
We are currently on the search for an officiant, not specifically religious or not.

Venue {Ceremony & Reception}

Kids Are More Than Welcome

I intend to have a special table for all of the children (excluding infants, of course).
I'm a buzz with ideas as to what to give them for activities and such. Our venue is historical and fairly restrictive; therefore, any "destructive" ideas will have to either be rethought or forgotten, which is what is causing difficulty. The ages range from like 2 - 10ish. I'm trying to avoid anything that may become a projectile, haha

Ideas
Chalk
Paints
Bubble Machine
Coloring books
Special markers (that only mark on the paper)
Glow sticks (the reception will be held in the evening)
Candy & treats (not too much)
Frisbees
Foam swords
Foam crafts
Puzzles
Make-Your-Own foods & crafts
Legos/ Mega Blocks
Puppets
Stickers
Retro Toys (tops, yoyos and kaleidoscopes)
Juice boxes/ Caprisun
Stepping stone hopscotch (issue no. 1 - most of the kids may not understand)
Kiddie horseshoes
Balloons
Matching Games
Cards
Pretend Play Stuff (superhero masks, capes, cowboy hats, etc)
